Event Details

Peptide Recepter Radiotherapy (PRRT) is one of the most effective treatments for patients with Neuroendocrine Cancer.  In particular, therapy with Lu-177 Octreotate is safe, has relatively few toxic side effects and has been shown to prolong survival by 3 - 6 years. PRRT is emerging from trials to become a mainstream treatment option for NET cancer patients, alongside surgery and Octreotide therapy.

In the coming months, PRRT will be introduced at Singapore General Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department.  This event will help you understand how the treatment works, whether it is suitable in your own case, and at what stage it can be most effective.
